Florida coach Steve Spurrier: "God smiled on us today. We were outplayed, but got more points. Two years ago, Travis Taylor caught a touchdown pass right about that same spot. They called that one good too. We were very fortunate. It was a judgment call."

Spurrier: "We're not always that mouthy. We have some guys who like to spout off, who like to talk. We need to try not to talk as much and play more.

QB Jesse Palmer on what he told the offense before the last drive: "I just told the guys, "Let's go out and make some memories.' We are counting and wishing and counting our blessings."

DE Alex Brown on stopping UT late in the fourth quarter: "One of the positives -- one of the few positives. We didn't play badly. We made them kick a few field goals."

Defensive coordinator Jon Hoke on Tennessee running back Travis Henry: "He is their best player. He is better than us. We couldn't tackle him."

WR Alex Willis on Palmer's performance: "He kept us up even though we were dropping them all. He just kept cheering us on."

WR Jabar Gaffney on final catch for touchdown: "I caught it. I wasn't worried about it. After the catch, I put my hands up and the ref put his hands up."

Brown on being stopped: "Their offensive coach had a good plan for me. Like I said before, if I have six sacks and we lose, that's no good. If I have no tackles and we win, I'm just as happy as everybody else."

LB Daryl Owens: "Give Tennessee credit, but we played to the end."

CB Lito Sheppard: "Offense just told us to go out and get the ball back one more time. I knew it was going to come down to something like this."
