    College Shopping 101

    Three St. Petersburg College campuses will host College Shopping 101. The seminar will offer information on selecting a college or university, choosing degrees, obtaining financial aid and preparing for emerging careers. Seminars will be offered Sept. 19 at the Clearwater Campus Fine Arts Auditorium at 2465 Drew St. in Clearwater, Sept. 20 at the Caruth Health Education Center Teaching Auditorium at 7200 66th St. N in Pinellas Park and Oct. 11 at the Tarpon Springs Campus Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art at 600 Klosterman Road, Palm Harbor. All seminars begin at 6 p.m. For information, call (727) 341-4772.

    Talking Schools

    All high school students, employees, parents and community members are invited to the upcoming Talking Schools programs. The first three-part discussion will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10 at Largo High School. The topic is "He said, She said . . . exploring gender relationships." Talking Schools is a countywide dialogue program designed to promote communication between high school students and adults.     Crisis support

    Pinellas County schools have compiled crisis support resources to help children deal with the recent tragedy. The resources are available online at the school district's Web site www.pinellas.k12.fl.us. The district also has produced a video featuring several district personnel trained in crisis support. The program will air at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13 on WPDS-Ch. 14.
