What week is it?By Paulette Lash Ritchie
© St. Petersburg Times, As we wind up the holidays in September we have a couple of national holidays. From September 15 through October 15 each year is National Hispanic Heritage Month. We have a few more days of Constitution Week, which began Monday and runs through Sunday. These observances are perpetual and so are celebrated each year. Saturday is the last day of National Farm Safety and Health Week presented by the National Safety Council. Their web site is www.nsc.org/farmsafe.htm if you are interested in farm safety information. The less than official observances beginning this week are: Miniature Golf Day and World Gratitude Day on Friday and Dear Diary Day and Elephant Appreciation Day (and who doesn't appreciate elephants!) on Saturday. Sunday is Good Neighbor Day and Monday is National Bluebird of Happiness Day. Sept. 27 is Crush a Can Day and the fourth Friday in September, which is the 28th this year, is Native American Day. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
