© St. Petersburg Times, The Citrus County Young Republicans will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the banquet room of the B&W Rexall Drugs, 214 U.S. 41, Inverness. State Rep. Nancy Argenziano, R-Dunnellon, will be the guest speaker. The banquet room will be open at 6 p.m. for anyone wishing to eat before the meeting. The Sugarmill Woods Democratic Club will sponsor a special production of the musical Cabaret at 2 p.m. Saturday at Playhouse 19, 865 N Suncoast Blvd., Crystal River. The Citrus County Republican Executive Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Community Room of the Citrus County Builders Association, 1196 S Lecanto Highway, County Road 491, Lecanto. All Executive Committee members, Precinct Committee members, alternates and other interested Republicans are encouraged to attend. Focus of the meeting will be proposed changes to the bylaws of the Citrus REC. Those planning on eating breakfast should attend early enough to place their orders before the start of the meeting. There will not be a speaker as the meeting, which will be used mainly for preparation for the Geri Patterson Spaghetti Cook-Off. This will be the final date for turning in money and tickets for the dinner scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the VFW Post 8189 on Veterans Drive, Homosassa. The annual Gerri Patterson Memorial Great Spaghetti Cookoff, sponsored by the Nature Coast Republican Club, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 at the VFW Post 8189, 8856 W Veterans Drive, Homosassa. Republican Party officials are invited to enter their own secret, special sauces and serve them to the public. There will be door prizes donated by generous business owners of Citrus County. Officials who have agreed to participate include: State Rep. Argenziano, state Sen. Ginny Brown-Waite, Citrus County Tax Collector Janice Warren, county Commissioner Gary Bartell, Citrus County Elections Supervisor Susan Gill, Citrus County School Board chairwoman Patience Nave, county Commissioner Vicki Phillips and Florida Solicitor General Tom Warner.
