The Pinellas Association of Retarded Children needs volunteers for the American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Powerboard Races planned for Oct. 5-7 off the Pier in downtown St. Petersburg. Volunteers are needed for concession stands, ticket sales and registration. For information call PARC at 345-9111, ext. 293.

Pinellas Braille Group will hold a volunteer information meeting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4444 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. The organization is looking for volunteers to translate books into Braille as well as volunteers to learn how to tape record books for the visually handicapped. For information, call 596-5615.
