When you want good food at bargain prices, you don't worry about fancy service or atmosphere. Chris Sherman designates his favorites where you can eat happily for $10 or less as Cheap Thrills.
Is there a better city than Chicago for food that puts fire, spice and fun into everyday life? If you miss those three-napkin meals of all manner of sausages, tamales, cheesecake, Italian beef and pastrami on rye, and America's best-dressed hot dog, this is da place. There's no pizza, but it's got Scala's, Vienna, Best's Kosher and Eli's goods and all the Chicagoana that a Daley or a Jordan could want. 7733 Ulmerton Road, Largo; (727) 524-1146.
