    Autumn gathering

More than 175 crafters will sell their homespun holiday wares at the 14th Autumn Gathering from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Harborview Center Sunday. You'll find plenty of pumpkins, scarecrows, warm country quilts, hand-painted glass, fragrant candles, jewelry, furniture, clothing, baskets, calligraphy, pottery, dolls, wreaths and herbal packs. There will also be crafts demonstrations throughout the day and a food court. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children 12 and under. Parking is free. Harborview Center is at 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater.

    Jazz performance

Paul Howards, who has been described as a seductive, melodic sax player, will perform at the Largo Cultural Center's intimate 250-seat House of Jazz venue Saturday night. Howards has played more than 1,000 sessions that resulted in music for albums, films, TV shows and commercial jingles. He's performed with the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Gloria Estefan. But his best gig yet has been his current tour with N'Sync's "Pop Odyssey 2001" world tour. You can catch Howards at 8 p.m. at the House of Jazz, 105 Central Park Drive, south of East Bay Drive between Highland Avenue and Seminole Boulevard. For ticket information, call the box office at (727) 587-6793.
