Crusader wins in Gainesville

Keswick Christian's Christa Benton won the invitational division at the University of Florida Invitational in 17 minutes, 58 seconds on a 5K course. She won by 45 seconds. IRC seventh-grader Melissa Kotchman placed 10th in 19:39.

St. Petersburg Catholic's Mike Craig placed 20th in 16:34 in the boys invitational division, leading the Barons to a ninth-place finish out of 30 teams.

Shorecrest's Matt Mosby placed 22nd in 17:15 in the boys open division, leading the Chargers to a sixth-place finish. Admiral Farragut's John Biffar was sixth in the open race in 16:39.
