With his first-quarter interception, Redskins cornerback Darrell Green has at least one interception for 18 consecutive seasons.

The Bucs scored a first-quarter touchdown off quarterback Brad Johnson's fumble. Entering the game, the Bucs had a league-high 38 points off turnovers.

Mike Alstott's 2-yard effort was Tampa Bay's eighth touchdown run this season. The Bucs had seven rushing touchdowns last

season.

Stephen Davis' 50-yard touchdown was the first rushing score allowed by the Bucs since Oakland's Napoleon Kaufman ran 75 yards in Week 15 last season

Under coach Tony Dungy, the Bucs are 1-13 when allowing a 100-yard rusher.

Game balls

Deion Sanders, Redskins CB

Just when he seemed to be cracking, a budding poster child for AARP, the extraordinary old playmaker broke Tampa Bay's back with punt return moves from his youth.

-- Hubert Mizell

* * *

Reidel Anthony, Bucs WR

After being criticized all last season, Anthony has bounced back in 2000 by making plays when he's called upon.

-- Ernest Hooper

Stephen Davis, Redskins RB

Davis wasn't a factor in the Redskins' playoff loss last season, but his performance Sunday could keep the Bucs from being in the playoffs.

-- Rick Stroud

Jamie Duncan, Bucs LB

Duncan had his first double-digit effort of the season with 10 tackles, and he did it while playing through a tweaked nerve in his neck.

-- Darrell Fry

On fire

Mark Royals, Bucs P

He has averaged 47.6 yards a punt the past two games while planting two inside the 20. He's clearly Tampa Bay's best special teams performer at the moment.

-- Ernest Hooper

On ice

Shaun King, Bucs QB

Quarterbacks get too much credit when the team wins and too much blame when the team loses, but King's performance the past two games has not been up to par. His inconsistencies have the offense struggling.
