Defensive tackle Warren Sapp on the team's play: "We played solid but we didn't play wellas a unit. We couldn't stop a good running back. They got their running game going and put some points on the board. Special teams let the cat out of the bag with Deion. That's just the way it goes sometimes. You let a good team hang around, and they'll find some ways to make some plays."

Coach Tony Dungy on the game: "We played with effort and played a good team, but not well enough to win. They played well on offense and held us to the last two minutes. I thought we ran the ball well enough in the first half. We had a chance to come back and probably had our best drive of the night. The whole day we were close, but not close enough."

Defensive tackle Tyoka Jackson on the tough loss: "It was an emotional roller coaster for us. I thought we had the game won. Usually in that situation, when you let a team get back and tie it up, more often than not the team that came back is going to win that game. So, I like our chances right there. We were feeling good about ourselves, but it just didn't happen. To be honest, they deserved to win."

Receiver Keyshawn Johnson on the offense: "We're not getting it done. Maybe we're just not able to do it. Maybe we're just not good enough offensively to do those things. Right now, we're trying to get a win under our belt."

Guard Frank Middleton on Dungy's decision to bench Sapp for the first quarter: "That's Tony's job. He's got to make the call. I'm not going to say nothing bad about nobody. I love Tony and he did what he thought was right. To me, it didn't kill us. They didn't score when he wasn't in there, so what's the big deal about it."

Dungy on Deion Sanders' return: "Deion caught it and broke a couple of tackles and basically got outside our coverage. That was one we didn't cover as well as we needed to."

Dungy on benching Sapp: "I'd really rather not talk about that right now other than to say it was a decision we made. I'll probably talk about it tomorrow."

Safety Dexter Jackson on his animated fourth-quarter conversation with an official: "There were a couple of clips by All-Pro guys and they weren't calling it. They were saying it was vets being wise. That's what they were actually saying. It was a vet clipping me, and they were acting like nothing was happening."

Johnson on his fourth-quarter fumble: "I don't fumble, but I fumbled. I normally would not do that, and I am disappointed in myself that I would do that. That's the first I have ever fumbled in my NFL career. Bad (stuff) happens in bunches."

Dungy on quarterback Shaun King: "I don't know if regression is the word. We're going to have some growing pains with this. I don't think it's just Shaun."

Linebacker Derrick Brooks the defense: "We gave up a big play, a long run for a touchdown and came back. That's one thing about this defense, this team. We hang together."
