Rescheduled game

Fans with tickets for the Sept. 17 game that was postponed because of the terrorist attacks can use them for tonight's game. Tickets for any of the postponed games Sept. 11-17 can be exchanged for tickets of equal value for any of the remaining games.

The pitchers

Nick Bierbrodt

The left-hander (2-4, 5.04) is making his 11th start as a Ray. In his last outing, a 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday, he notched a career-high seven strikeouts. The last time he faced the Yankees, he allowed a club-record 13 hits in a 16-1 loss.

Orlando Hernandez

"El Duque" (3-7, 5.06) has missed most of the season with an injured elbow but is set to make his final tuneup before the postseason. In 902/3 innings, Hernandez has given up 51 runs while striking out 73 and walking 40. Opponents are hitting .254 against him.
