Osceola 14, Dixie Hollins 7

SEMINOLE -- With Jason Teague producing 174 yards on 22 carries for Osceola, it didn't seem like an 0-for-3 passing stint by Leroy Hayes would matter -- until he made his first completion.

With nine seconds to play in a 7-7 game, Hayes connected with Sergio Felton for a 45-yard touchdown, turning back the Rebels. Teague ran for a 68-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Though Dixie Hollins started two drives in the first quarter in Osceola territory, it wasn't until quarterback B.J. Hall crafted a seven-minute, 97-yard march to open the fourth quarter that the Rebels put points on the board. Kevin Marion (51 yards, 4 receptions) ran a 12-yard reverse to capitalize.

Hall finished with 135 yards, completing 11 of 20 attempts. Jarrett Ponder had 6 receptions for 69 yards.

PLAY OF THE GAME: Osceola's offensive line gave Hayes plenty of time to step back and hit Felton in stride. The 5-foot-6 sophomore made an over-the-head catch just inside the end zone.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Teague, who fumbled on his first carry of the game, pounded Dixie every time he got the ball. He plowed through tacklers for touchdown runs of 42 and 45 yards. Both were nullified by clipping penalties.

KEY STATISTIC: The Warriors were penalized 11 times for 90 yards. The most crucial whistle came with 48 seconds left in the fourth quarter, when Teague's 45-yard halfback pass keeper for a touchdown was negated.

THEY SAID IT: "It's like a boxing match, and we just delivered the final blow. -- Hayes.

East Lake 48, Boca Ciega 0

EAST LAKE -- Jamar Jackson, Mike Wynn and the Eagles ran over winless Boca Ciega with 34 second-half points -- 21 in the fourth quarter.

PLAY OF THE GAME: A 60-yard touchdown run by Wynn spoiled the Pirates' hopes of eliminating a 14-point deficit and recording their first victory in six games.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Jackson rushed for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns.

KEY STATISTIC: East Lake and Boca Ciega combined for 7 sacks that resulted in a loss of 45 yards.

THEY SAID IT: "Maybe if we could get a drive without a sack, a fumble, an error, we could win some games." -- Pirates coach Jean Gordon.
