The pitchers

Joe Kennedy

Kennedy (6-8, 4.35) is making his 19th major-league start. He leads all rookies in ERA and his .267 opponent batting average ranks third among AL rookies. He is 3-0 with a 2.68 ERA with 22 strikeouts in his past six starts.

Roger Clemens

Clemens (20-2, 3.43) has a bit of revenge on his mind. The Rays snapped his 16-game winning streak Sept. 25, clouding what could be his record sixth Cy Young Award winning season. Lifetime against Tampa Bay, Clemens is 5-2 with a 3.63 ERA.

They said it

"Not one of those chains. I want to work in one of those local record stores where I could play my own music and just point people to go over there. Plus, I'd get the discount for when I wanted to buy music for myself. That's what I want, the discount."

-- Damian Rolls on what his ideal winter job would be. Instead, he is set to get married on Oct. 13.
