PORT RICHEY -- A 40-year-old man was arrested Friday after his 15-year-old daughter said he has fondled her for seven years, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said.

The man, whose name is being withheld by the Times to protect his daughter's identity, faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, deputies said.

The daughter gave deputies the following account: On May 24, she and a friend, also 15, went to visit her father at his Port Richey house. Her father fondled her breasts, and she saw him put his hand inside her friend's pants.

The friend gave deputies the same account.

According to his arrest report, the man told deputies he touched the girls because he was drunk.

The man was being held Saturday at county jail in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $100,000 bail.
