Doubles championship

Glen Lakes Tennis Club is playing host to the K-Swiss 7.0 System Mixed Doubles Championship next weekend for players in the 3.0-5.0 ratings.

The tournament will be Saturday and Sunday, and the entry fee is $20 per person before 8 p.m. Tuesday and $30 after the early deadline.

The draw is limited to the first 32 teams. Squads are expected to play a minimum of four matches over both days.

Players must check in at the new Glen Lakes Tennis Club courts at least 30 minutes prior to their schedule match time.

Individuals who need a partner will be matched with partners of comparable skill.

K-Swiss Championships

Oak Village Tennis Center in Sugarmill Woods is playing host to the K-Swiss Championships on Oct. 21-22.

The tournament offers mens and ladies singles and doubles competition in a variety of divisions. Open, B, 50-plus and 70-plus are included, and juniors are welcome to play in the adult divisions.

The registration fee is $15 per person, per event and $20 for entry in two events.
