Someck, a 1991 graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School, was recently promoted to Army sergeant. He is an Arabic linguist. Stationed at Fort Stewart, Ga., with the 103rd Military Intelligence Battalion, he will deploy to Bosnia-Herzegovina to support the peacekeeping mission. His father is Marti B. Someck of Clearwater. AwardsJill B. Muller, a 1995 graduate of Boca Ciega High School, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. She was recognized for consistently performing demanding duties and displaying exceptional initiative while serving general duty at the Naval Ambulatory Care Center, Kings Bay, Ga. During her duty, she reorganized the immunizations clinic and improved infection control procedures. She also volunteered for numerous off-duty programs including the Kings Bay Special Olympic Games and Relay For Life Cancer Charities. Her parents are Jon and Robin Muller of Seminole. Completion of trainingEric J. Fitzpatrick, a 1999 graduate of Pinellas Park High School, joined the Marine Corps in January and completed basic training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in South Carolina. He completed Marine combat training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and is stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in California. His parents are Rick and Sue Fitzpatrick. Patrick Gaughan of Seminole was appointed as a local board member for the Selective Service System. He recently was among 28 new members from the Southeast to complete initial board member training in Atlanta.
