Receiver Santana Moss: "You've got guys who are local who come down here bragging about what they did to us. I get tired of it. I come from a championship school. We go out and fight."
Defensive tackle Damione Lewis: "This feels good. They embarrassed us my first year, 47-0 (1997). We had a drive going in the second half, and they threw their second or third team defense in against our first team offense. That embarrassed us."
Running back James Jackson: "On that last drive, we kept saying we had enough time. If Penn State could do it to us (last year), then we could do it to someone else. This is emotional. A lot of seniors came into the locker room crying after this one. All week long we kept telling each other, "47-0! Remember, 47-0.' "
Receiver Reggie Wayne: "We didn't worry about the past. We let the past just be the past. We know the talent we've got on this team. We just wanted to get the win."
Linebacker Dan Morgan on his first-half interception in the Miami end zone: "I dropped back and hid myself behind the line. I knew it would be a short pass because they didn't have a lot of yards to work with. I just broke on the ball."
Quarterback Ken Dorsey on UM's rally: "We had 1:37 left and two timeouts. That seemed like a lot of time to me because coach (Butch) Davis puts 45 seconds on the clock and makes us go 80 yards (in practice). I knew that if we threw completions and moved down the field, working our tight end, we would be successful."
Tight end Ivan Mercer: "Something about this day felt like it was going to be our day. All week we felt this would be our game."
Fullback Najeh Davenport: "After I made that fumble (setting up FSU's go-ahead touchdown), I was about to go down in the dumps. But I knew we were going to come back. It was a matter of time."
