Quarterback Brett Favre on the defense allowing only one big play (Mike Alstott's 39-yard touchdown run): "The defense played great again. They gave up one big play today, and I hope they don't lose any sleep tonight because of that one big play."
Favre on the 98-yard interception return for a touchdown by Shelton Quarles: "It was designed to go to (receiver Antonio Freeman) and he said he was open in the second window, so I threw it out wide and their guy made a good play. But I know I'm better than that."
Favre on the heat and the intensity of the game: "I've never felt more tired than this after a game. Never."
Coach Mike Sherman on receiver Bill Schroeder's personal foul penalty for retaliating against Dexter Jackson, who hit him in the back after the whistle: "We need to show restraint in that situation. I talked to him after it happened and he told me it will never happen again."
Linebacker Bernardo Harris on the defense shutting down the Bucs: "What does shut down mean? Shoot, we lost the game. You could use 'shut down' if we had won."
Strong safety LeRoy Butler on the Bucs' winning 95-yard drive: "They found where we had a couple of breakdowns and good teams find a way to execute and they did that."
Defensive end John Thierry on how the Packers took the loss: "It hurts, but our character is so strong. It's been tested since last year, so we know the type of people we have in this locker room. We can bounce back from this, and we will."
