Free Internet class offered by newspaper

Understanding Internet search engines, sending photos in e-mail and using basic interactivity on the Internet will be the focus of a series of free beginners Internet classes. The first class is schedule for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Countryside High School auditorium, Clearwater.

The class is designed for those who are new to the Internet. Using a live Internet connection, the presentation is projected onto a giant screen. The class will last about an hour and a question-and-answer session will follow. The class will be taught by Ronald Dupont Jr., the St. Petersburg Times' general manager of Web publishing.
