St. Petersburg Free Clinic, 863 Third Ave. N, will hold a volunteer orientation at 10 a.m. today. For information, call Kelli Caputo at 821-1200, ext. 118.

Directions for Mental Health, 1437 S Belcher Road, Clearwater, needs volunteers to work with senior citizens. Volunteers are needed to run errands, visit shut-ins and provide transportation to medical appointments. For information, call Dolores Brigati at 524-4464, ext. 1364.

Tampa Bay Research Institute seeks volunteers to help with general administrative support duties. The private, nonprofit organization at 10900 Roosevelt Blvd. N, St. Petersburg, is involved in basic biomedical research of cancer, AIDS and hepatitis C. Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers to help staff several offices and kiosks. Volunteers assist bay area visitors by providing directions and general information. Offices are on Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach. For information, call the chamber at 360-6957.
