Pasco-Hernando Community College will host two college and career nights next week -- one on each side of Pasco County -- for students seeking information about more than 100 colleges and the military.

The first session will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the fitness center on the school's west campus, 10230 Ridge Road in New Port Richey.

The second session will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gym on the east campus, 36727 Blanton Road in Dade City.

Each college will have its own table, where representatives can answer questions about financial aid, admissions and other topics.

"It's kind of like a trade show," PHCC spokeswoman Lynn Rothman said. "It gives high school kids the chance to come to one place and find out about 100 post-grad opportunities."

Several Florida schools will be represented at the events, including Bethune Cookman College, Florida State University, Florida Southern College, Florida Atlantic University, Clearwater Christian College, Saint Leo University, the University of South Florida, the University of Central Florida and the University of Florida.

A variety of out-of-state schools as far away as Ohio State University and West Virginia Wesleyan College will also be represented at both events.

The college night event is free and open to the public.

PHCC will have information at both events, and it will hold information sessions exclusively about its programs Nov. 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the west campus and Nov. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the east campus.
