WESLEY CHAPEL -- The Oct. 18 Pasco-Wesley Chapel football game at Wildcat Stadium will be televised on tape delay on local cable television on Shaw Channel 2 on Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The game will be produced by Channel Won Sports/Digital Productions, and will feature multiple camera angles, instant replay, graphics, as well as play-by-play and color commentary.

This will be the second time a Pasco County high school football game has been televised. Last season's "9-Mile War" also was broadcast, and Pasco beat Zephyrhills 10-7 at Bulldog Stadium.

Last season Wesley Chapel beat Pasco 16-10. This season's meeting between the undefeated Wildcats (6-0) and the Pirates (4-2) should have postseason implications in Class 3A, District 7 and the Sunshine Athletic Conference.

"It's great exposure for the kids," Pasco coach Ricky Thomas said. "I think its great. I don't think (it will affect them). I think they'll play a little bit harder if they know they're on television, just like anybody else."
