This week's winner: Merri Voshardt of Temple Terrace knew that blues legend Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton scored success with the song Ball & Chain long before Janis Joplin debuted her blues rock version at the 1967 Monterey International Pop Festival.

This week's question: Saturday Night Live fans know cast member Maya Rudolph for her comedic chops playing a member of fictional R&B trio Gemini's Twin. In real life, Rudolph has more connections to music. Her mom is the late Minnie Riperton, the woman behind the much-sampled 1970s hit Lovin' You. In the mid 1990s, Rudolph played keyboards in the Rentals, a side project for Matt Sharp, bassist, at that time in a popular alt-pop band. To enter your name in the random drawing for the Weekend T-shirt, tell me the band for which Sharp used to play bass.
