In conjunction with Downtown St. Petersburg Second Saturday Art Walk, Studio Szabries is hosting a reception for its latest one-man art show, "A Figure, A Place." Created by Safety Harbor artist Joshua Margolis, these large-scale clay works explore a variety of styles from the delightfully whimsical to the realistically bold. Margolis often expresses personal thoughts about Judaism, fantasy and human nature in his work. He adds additional depth through several finishing techniques, including watercolors, waxes and an assortment of polishes. The artist will be at the show's reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Studio Szabries is at 2109 Central Ave. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Call (727) 895-2444.
