Some other, similar night spots in the Tampa Bay area:

The Left Bank, 1502 S Howard Ave., Tampa: Adjacent to the French restaurant Le Bordeaux, this lounge is a South Tampa spin on a half-French, half-Chicago-style bistro. Live jazz performed Friday and Saturday. Thursdays, a disc jockey spins European New Age music.

Liquid Blue, 22 N Fort Harrison Ave., Clearwater: Old movie theater has leopard-look carpet, blue sofas and huge dance floor.

Rain, 302 S Nebraska Ave., Tampa: The newest club to hit Tampa's Channelside district. Large velvet couches, dark burgundy carpet. "If the Rat Pack were alive, they would be here," according to the lounge's ad.
