The former Beatle, who took up painting after his 40th birthday in 1982, is showing his paintings at Bristol's Arnolfini Gallery. The 40-minute cyber tour will be shown Thursday at http://chat.yahoo.com. Following the tour, McCartney will chat live with the Internet audience. "For many years I painted in private, and I didn't really talk about it to anyone outside of my family," McCartney said in a statement Thursday. "Now I'm interested in showing my paintings to anyone who is curious about them, partly to learn what people think." Steiger, Benedict marry in MalibuRod Steiger and Joan Benedict have tied the knot. About 30 people attended the wedding ceremony Tuesday at Steiger's Malibu, Calif., home, spokeswoman Lori De Waal said. "They had been dating about two years," she said. The couple can be seen together early next year in the murder mystery The Flying Dutchman. It is Steiger's fifth marriage; Benedict was a widow. Danielle Steel books to be given awayDanielle Steel fans, put away your wallets and head to a bookstore. One-million commemorative editions of the novelist's most popular work will be given away next week to mark the publication of her 50th book, Journey. "This is certainly a very special month and celebratory milestone for me," Steel, whose books have sold more than 400-million copies, said Wednesday. "I'm very pleased and grateful for the long relationship I've shared with my readers." On Oct. 17, the Steel best sellers Family Album, Kaleidoscope and Fine Things will be given away. The books, which include a "thank you" letter from the author, will be available at superstores, independent sellers, drugstores, supermarkets and wholesale price markets.
