AUTO/TRUCK ACCESSORY STORE OPENING: Automania has opened at 15711 Mapledale Blvd., near Northdale Boulevard. The shop sells various types of auto and truck accessories. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. For information, call 968-7223.

NEW STORE OFFERS CUSTOM/SPECIALTY STONES: Stone Specialties of Tampa Bay Inc. has opened a shop at 8511 Gunn Highway. In business for 20 years, Stone Specialties concentrates on custom fabrications and installations of granite kitchen countertops, vanities, fireplace surroundings and natural stone tabletops. Carrollwood

STEAK RESTAURANT CLOSES: Steak and Ale closed on Sept. 29 at 8301 N Dale Mabry Highway near Waters Avenue. The owners, Metromedia Restaurant Group, are downsizing but will continue to operate the Steak and Ale at 204 N Westshore Blvd. Metromedia also owns Bennigan's Grill and Tavern, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza Steakhouse restaurants. HOLIDAY/HOME DECOR STORE OPENS: Et-cet-era too! opened Monday at 13144 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Village Center. The store specializes in holiday items and home decor along with an entire room dedicated to Hanukkah items. The store is next door to Bilmar Station and hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It varies from the original et-cet-era, in the same plaza, which sells home decor items only. JEWELRY STORE OPENS: Anthony Louis Jewelers opened Tuesday at 13128 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Village Center. The store replaces the old Village Jewelers that closed recently. It offers diamonds, jewelry, antiques and estate pieces. For information, call 960-9788.
