Open and shutBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published October 15, 2000 Lutz BODY SHOP OWNER MAKES CHANGES: Eventually, there may be less sweat at the Sweat Shop. Owner Stuart Sweat, 45, is branching into the vehicle accessories business after 25 years doing paint and body work. He opened Lutz Custom Accessories during the summer at 19007 U.S. 41, next to Lutz-Lake Fern Road. The Sweat Shop has operated there for six years. Sweat said he installs lots of plastic bed liners for pickup trucks, plus hubcaps. He also does running boards, sun visors, bug shields and luggage racks. He said the work is a pleasant change. "It's easier than fixing a wreck." NorthdaleNEW BRANCH POST OFFICE COMING: It'll be easier doing your postal business next year as the Tampa Post Office plans to open a new retail outlet in the Carrollwood Commons Shopping Center. The new branch will be located in the old Western Auto location at 14091 N Dale Mabry Highway, on the northwest corner of Ehrlich Road and N Dale Mabry Highway. Remodeling will begin in November and the office will likely open by early spring 2001. "The growth in the Northdale area has precipitated the need for the Ehrlich retail office," said Tampa Postmaster Rich Rome. "The Carrollwood branch and the temporary Northdale Boulevard offices have been overwhelmed by the growth in retail customers." The Northdale Boulevard office will remain open, but its post office boxes will be moved to the Carrollwood Commons location. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
