Women in Networking meeting for breakfast

Women in Networking (WIN) will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Ramada Hotel, 5015 U.S. 19, New Port Richey.

Member Linda McFarland will talk on Arabian horses. She and her husband Larry have been owners for the past 23 years of the Happy Apple Farm in Hudson. Happy Apple is currently the home of eight well-bred Arabian horses. Horses from the farm have won numerous state and national awards since it was founded in 1966 in Miami. Mrs. McFarland will discuss the history of this ancient breed, explain the multiple ways these equines are used today and explain how the breed's intelligence and superior disposition make it a wonderful family horse. Mrs. McFarland is also a representative of the American General Financial Group.

WIN is a group of Pasco businesswomen who meet for breakfast the third Tuesday of the month. Prospective members are welcome. Annual dues are $5. For information, call 863-6151.

Suncoast Harmony Chorus has anniversary

The Suncoast Harmony Chorus, an award winning chapter of Sweet Adelines, will celebrate its 15th anniversary as a member of the international organization Tuesday at a dinner at 7 p.m. at Crabby J's, U.S. 19, New Port Richey. The chorus was chartered in October 1986 and has been active in the community since that time.

Amy Riddle, director, said the group of women who love to entertain the public sing acapella, four-part harmony barbershop style. Although rehearsals are based in New Port Richey, members come from three counties: Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas.

All former members of the Floridian Gulf Chorus and the Suncoast Harmony Chorus are welcome to attend the celebration. For information, contact Marjorie Dunn, president at 375-1482.

TOPs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 637 is sponsoring an open house from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at 7817 Gulfway and Old Dixie Highway, Hudson.

Daughters of Scotia set luncheon, auction

Lady Elizabeth Gray Lodge 256, Daughters of Scotia are hosting a luncheon and Chinese auction at noon Tuesday at the Pearl of the West Masonic Hall, 6319 Louisiana Ave., New Port Richey.

The menu features sausage rolls, beets, potato chips, tea or coffee and dessert. Tickets are $5. For information call Jean Bechaud, 934-9770.

Seniors group offers health screenings

SASSY (Seniors Are Someone Special Year-Round) is sponsoring health screenings and entertainment beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Center Court, Gulf View Square Mall, Port Richey.

Health screenings are courtsey of Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and eye screenings by Suncoast Eye Center.

The Big Band Sound of the 14-piece 42nd Street Big Band will start at 10 a.m. Also appearing are Evan Daniels Show and Wayne Lucas, Maria Coccaro.

At 11 a.m., Joseph Pine will present a seminar on Metro Crime Prevention Safety.

Educational information available includes financial, fashions, senior living, physical rehabilitation, vascular, diet, oncology, plastic surgery, heart, internal medicine and safety.

VFW Post 610 and Auxiliary offer dinner

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6180 and Auxiliary are sponsoring a special prime rib dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the post, 11551 Osceola Drive, New Port Richey.The dinner includes baked potato and salad and will be followed by music by Mike Reimbisz.

Episcopal women having fall luncheon at church

The Episcopal Church Women of St. Martin's Episcopal Church of Hudson are hosting an annual fall luncheon at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 15801 U.S. 19, Hudson. Gwendolyn Lewis will be the speaker on the topic of "Aging, Health and Wellness."

Participants will bring food to share.

Women's group now meets evenings at church

Episcopal Church Women of St. Martin's have formed an evening group for women who find it difficult to meet during the day.

Meetings are scheduled at 6:45 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the church, 15801 U.S. 19, Hudson.

At 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, the group will make plans for an art sale and auction for Nov. 3.

Ladies Guild sponsors rummage sale

Faith Lutheran Church Ladies Guild is sponsoring a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fellowship Hall, 5443 Sunset Road, New Port Richey.

Small furniture, clothes, tools, dishes, books and much more will be for sale.

'Study of Dreams' is focus of meeting

Carol Oschmann, will explore the "Study of Dreams" when the Women of Unity meet at noon Tuesday in the Family Room of Unity Church, 5844 Pinehill Road, Port Richey.
