Coach Jeff Fisher, on arguing the replay call in which the Titans had a touchdown taken away: "I know I was correct in my opinion of what took place in the process. I don't know what Dick (Hantak, the referee) is going to say, but I know I was correct. ... In my opinion, timeout wasn't called before the extra point was kicked. Period."

Fisher, on Bucs center Jeff Christy: "We watched film all week and felt Tampa Bay's center had an unusual hitch in his snap. He was moving the ball forward and then delivering the ball. I talked with the league office in detail and they said there is no way we will be called on a defensive offsides because he's moving the ball and going forward."

Quarterback Steve McNair on third-down success: "They were dropping a lot of guys on third down. We thought they'd come at us like they normally do on third and long, but they didn't. I felt they were dropping deep and I had to make plays with my legs."

Defensive tackle Jason Fisk on the Bucs: "We didn't know (Bucs running back Warrick) Dunn was going to play today and we hadn't worked on the screen plays they threw at us. That did hurt us. They are basic and rely on good execution. They just come right at you and dare you to stop them. For the most part, we did outplay them today."

Running back Eddie George, on the Bucs defense: "They're very fast. Baltimore is a little heavier, obviously, because of the two defensive tackles, but they're right there. ... Baltimore and Tampa are probably the two best defenses in the league."

Defensive end Jevon Kearse, on the Bucs' attack: "We figured Tampa Bay was going to come at us like Baltimore did last week. Once we shut down their running game, they had to go to the air. It was our penalties that kept them in the game."

Offensive lineman Bruce Matthews, on the Titans' motivation: "We were just tired of hearing about how bad we were doing."
