Seafood fest looking for artists, crafters

DUNEDIN -- Applications are now being accepted for artists and crafters for the Honeymoon Island Seafood Fest and Boat Show scheduled for Nov. 24-26.

The three-day festival will feature a variety of activities and entertainment for people of all ages.

The event is being sponsored by the Gulf Islands Alliance, the state's Division of Recreation and Parks and the Greater Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. Call 733-3197.

Screenwriting and fiction writing class offered

David S. Freeman is offering the Master Class in Characterization & Dialogue for Screen Writers 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater.

Freeman is a screenwriter who has taught throughout the United States, including Los Angeles, and has lectured at the American Film Institute and the National Film Board of Canada.

The class, sponsored by the Clearwater Public Library System, costs $50, which includes lunch. For information and to register, call 462-6800, ext. 245.
