Neighborhoods group to meet Thursday The Carrollwood Area Association of Neighborhoods will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held in the Plantation Clubhouse at the Gunn Highway entrance in the Plantation subdivision. Robert Wolf, of Hillsborough Community College, will provide information on the proposed HCC campus in the northwest area of the county. Author to visit Franciscan Center for book signin

The Franciscan Center, 3010 Perry Ave., will present Patricia Livingston, author of This Blessed Mess, at 7:30 p.m. today. Activities will include a book signing, discussion and sing-along. South Tampa Chamber plans kids' health fair

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce will host its annual "We Care About Kids" health, education and safety fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4520 S Manhattan Ave. Exhibitors will include MacDill Air Force Base, the Tampa Fire Department, the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association. Foundation to sponsor annual golf tournament

The Angela Musette Russo Foundation, named for a breast cancer victim, will hold its fourth annual folf tournament Friday at Walden Lake Golf and Country Club, 2001 Clubhouse Drive, Plant City. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and shotgun start is at 1 p.m. The cost is $110 per person and includes lunch and dinner. A live auction will follow dinner. Proceeds will benefit the Moffitt Cancer Center, the Angela Musette Russo Scholarship Fund at the FSU School of Theatre and the American Cancer Society. Watershed management plan to be discussed

Hillsborough County staff and engineers will hold the first of three public meetings to discuss the Alafia River Watershed Management Plan at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held at the Riverview Civic Center, 11020 Park Drive, to get public input on the development of the watershed plan to study flooding and water quality issues in the basin. The $2.2-million study is being developed for the Alafia River Watershed area by the Stormwater Section of the Public Works Department.
