The Tampa Bay International Business Council, The Florida District Export Council and the Export Assistance Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce will have a networking session today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza-Tampa Westshore (Royal Palm Ballroom), 700 North Westshore Blvd. The guest speaker will be Timothy W. Neubert, manager, international business development, Pinellas County Department of Economic Development. The topic of discussion will be "Business Development & International Strategies." A Spanish-language Community Homebuyers and Credit Rebuilding Workshop will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greater Board of Realtors, 2918 West Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa. This workshop provides low- to moderate-income people with valuable information about credit rebuilding and down payment and closing cost assistance programs. The workshop is free. David A. Mercer has joined Bricklemyer Smolker & Bolves, P.A., a law firm that concentrates on real estate and property rights representation, as an associate attorney. Mercer's practice is focused primarily on civil litigation, with an emphasis on matters relating to eminent domain, inverse condemnation, real estate, land use and commercial litigation. His practice is in both Florida's federal and state courts.

Sol Source, a "Technologies Solution Company," has named Teasdale Enterprises of Arts and Media as its agency of record. Teasdale will assist Sol Source in creating a marketing and communications plan and will implement an advertising campaign to roll out before the end of the year. Sol Source, located in Clearwater, specializes in designing, installing and project-managing the building of data centers and state-of-the-art cabling systems.

George J. Meyer has been appointed vice chairman of the American Bar Association Real Property Division H-2 Committee-sports, entertainment, gaming and related real estate issues. His term runs for the 2000-2001 Bar year. Meyer, a shareholder in the firm's Tampa office, practices real property and construction law.
