  • Dinner's in the Freezer!: More Mary & Less Martha by Jill Bond, Holly Hall Publications, 1995.
  • Frozen Assets: How to Cook for a Day & Eat for a Month by Deborah Taylor-Hough, Champion Press, 1998.

Web sites

http://www.busycooks.about.com. This site offers lots of recipes and tips on how to bake and take food for others.

http://30daygourmet.com. Helpful for cooking for others and for making food for your own family. The premise here is that you cook once or twice a month for the whole month.

Calling all cooks

The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay is looking for people to join a "casserole club" to provide food for families staying in one of the three houses in St. Petersburg and Tampa.

People interested in donating a homemade casserole can call Ronald McDonald family coordinator Lynn Lippincott at (727) 821-8961, ext. 7694 for details.

Families whose children are hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment stay in the houses for free or for a nominal fee. There are kitchen facilities in the houses where families can cook their own meals or eat those provided by others.
