The Show Palace Dinner Theatre will hold open auditions for its 2001 season at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theater, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Performers of all ages are needed. Everyone auditioning should bring 16 bars of up-tempo music and a ballad. Be prepared to dance and read from scripts. Call (888) 655-7469.

The Riverfront Theatre will hold auditions for the Christmas opera Amahl and the Night Visitors at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 in the theatre, 102 Old Main St., Bradenton. Parts include six singing leads, a mixed chorus and seven dancers. Everyone auditioning should prepare either a ballad or opera piece and provide music for an accompanist.
