© St. Petersburg Times, 13-year-old boy charged in sexual battery caseNEW PORT RICHEY -- A 13-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday in the sexual battery of a 6-year-old girl, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said. On at least three occasions the boy fondled the girl and performed oral sex on her, deputies said. The incidents occurred as recently as Sept. 30. The Times is withholding the boy's name because of his age. He is a student at Palm Harbor Middle School, but the crimes occurred in New Port Richey, deputies said. Two masked men rob Capital City BankPORT RICHEY -- Two masked men -- one of them with a gun -- robbed the Capital City Bank on Thursday morning, sheriff's officials said. The men, wearing black masks and gloves, entered the bank, 9222 Regency Park Blvd., at about 9:44 a.m. and demanded money, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said. No one was injured, Doll said. The Sheriff's Office would not say how much money was taken. Letter to school employee tests negative for anthraxHUDSON -- A letter that caused a brief scare at Hudson High School tested negative Wednesday night for anthrax, school officials said. A school employee received what she thought was a suspicious letter several weeks ago at home, principal W. Greg Wright wrote Thursday in a letter to parents. The employee brought the suspicious letter to school to get advice from the school resource officer. Several staff members -- but no students -- came into contact with it. Since that day several weeks ago, the employee had been out on personal leave; and the administration did not learn of the letter until Wednesday when the employee returned, Wright said. To be safe, the county hazardous materials team responded, Wright said. The area where the employee worked was quarantined for much of Wednesday until the letter tested negative at a state Department of Health lab in Tampa.
