U.S. Rep. Mike Bilirakis, R-Tarpon Springs, announced Thursday that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has agreed to extend the public comment period regarding a proposed gas pipeline in Pasco County. The public comment period for the Buccaneer gas pipeline was to end Tuesday, but now has been extended to Nov. 7, a spokeswoman for Bilirakis said.
The proposed pipeline's route takes it across 49 miles of southern Pasco County. Bilirakis has offered to forward comments to FERC. His district office address is 4111 Land O'Lakes Blvd., Land O'Lakes, FL 34639. Anyone with questions can call Bilirakis' office at (813) 996-7441.
