Bucs coach Tony Dungy on the 3-4 record:
"We have dug ourselves in a big, big hole. Now we have to pull ourselves out. Losing two home games is tough. It's hard to battle that, but we have to come out of it."
Bucs fullback Mike Alstott on how the Lions won:
"They made more adjustments and ran the ball early. If the Detroit Lions can stick around, they can win. If you give them turnovers, they do a good job of capitalizing on them."
Bucs cornerback Ronde Barber:
"It's pretty sickening, if you ask me. We're just not very good right now. This is happening every week. Everybody, collectively, we're not getting it done."
Dungy on the game:
"This is one of the tougher losses we have had since I have been here. We had a lot of things going for us, but didn't take advantage of it. I take my hat off to Detroit. They played a good game. We are playing hard but not playing particularly well or smart. The second half of the season we need to get back to how we know we can play. We had plenty of chances to make plays, but you are not always going to make them physically. Mentally we need to get cleaned up before it's too late."
Bucs defensive tackle Marcus Jones on his blocked kick:
"I did what coach (Joe) Marciano always said. I timed it up and got a good push. Last two weeks it was Sapp, and we just got a good push. Two positives don't make a negative go away, though. We have the positives, but the negatives keep coming up."
Lions coach Bobby Ross:
"It was just a great win. I don't know what else to add to that. We had a lot of adverse things go on in the ballgame. On the blocked punt, I think one of the most significant things of the game that I always talk to them about is finishing because you never know what can happen."
Lions running back James Stewart:
"They're a hard-hitting team. We had to match their intensity. You have to take your hat off to the offensive line and the defense. If we just could stay in there, we thought we could run the ball. And when we kept pounding; we wore them down. If we weren't able to run, then (the pass rush) could have just pinned their ears back all the time."
Keyshawn Johnson on quarterback Shaun King:
"I think Shaun is doing ... what he's supposed to do as an offensive leader."
Offensive tackle Jerry Wunsch on what's next:
"We've got to look within ourselves and see what we have to do to win football games, go home, look within our souls and ask yourselves, "Do we want to go where we want to go? Or are we just saying that?' "

"I don't know what it is, but we're just not clicking right now."
