HALLOWEEN SOCIAL: The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Scoliosis Association will sponsor a Halloween Social from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The free event will be at Westcoast Brace & Limb, 5311 E Fletcher Ave. The social is open to adolescents with scoliosis, their family members and friends. Also, people who are older and who no longer wear a brace are invited to share how they have dealt with having scoliosis. Highlights will include dinner, refreshments and sharing stories. HAUNTED CASTLE: The Specter Academy and the Tampa Jaycees will have a haunted castle at the Event Factory in the Town 'N Country Plaza, 7565 W Hillsborough Ave. Hours will be 8 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 28 and 31. The cost is $7. It is not recommended for children younger than 13. Proceeds will benefit the Children's Cancer Center. For information, call (813) 948-4096.

HALLOWEEN FUN FEST: There will be a Halloween Fun Fest from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lowry Park Band Shell on Sligh Avenue at N Boulevard. There will be free entertainment and a costume contest at 5 p.m. Other highlights will include games, prizes, face painting, magic shows, storytelling, puppetry, concessions, and arts and crafts. For information, call 274-8615. TRICK OR TREAT: Several businesses at the Pebble Creek Collection, a shopping center on Bruce B. Downs Blvd., will hand out treats from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
