Bob Kendrick, anchor and reporter for WFTS-TV Channel 28, will be the speaker at a Senior College Breakfast Forum at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Continuing Education Conference Center. Kendrick will discuss "Tampa Bay Treasures," the subject of a news feature of the same name that he produces and hosts for Channel 28. The fee is $5. Call 864-7889 for information and to register.

Senior College presents Betty Jean Steinshouer in a dramatization of Florida author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dendy-McNair Auditorium. Rawlings, a Pulitzer Prize winner, wrote The Yearling, among other classics. The piece was produced in cooperation with the Florida Humanities Council. Call 864-8085 for information.

These Two Couples Went to Italy, a play by Paul Rusconi, will be presented at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 in Bininger Theater. The play, nominated to compete in the American Theater Festival, is a fast-paced comedy about two American couples who keep running into each other while they travel through Italy. Tickets are $5, $3 for senior citizens.

Jim Schnur of Eckerd College's Program for Experienced Learners will speak on Opening Closed Doors: Peering into the Johns Committee's Homophobic Closet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Hall, Room 130. Schnur will discuss the Florida Legislative Investigation Committee's campaigns against gay, lesbian and bisexual Floridians from 1956 to 1965. Schnur also will show a video documentary, Behind Closed Doors, about the committee's investigations at the University of Florida. Call 553-3408 for information.
