1 p.m. games

Dolphins at Jets

OF NOTE: The Dolphins are 8-3 coming out of bye weeks, but quarterback Vinny Testaverde and running back Curtis Martin should help the Jets prevail. Testaverde has looked shaky all season but has thrived off Martin's running. However, center Kevin Mawae is doubtful. Still, if the Jets can maintain their protection of Testaverde (10 sacks allowed in the past 10 games), Testaverde should be able to go deep a couple of times. It helps the Jets that Miami linebacker Zach Thomas has a bad ankle.

KEY INJURIES: Dolphins -- WR Tony Martin (foot) is out. G Mark Dixon is doubtful. DT Daryl Gardner (back), TE Alonzo Mayes (foot), WR O.J. McDuffie (toe), Thomas (ankle) are questionable. Jets -- Mawae (foot) is doubtful. LB John Abraham (stomach), TE Anthony Becht (knee) are questionable.

HOOPER'S PICK: Jets 17, Dolphins 15

Redskins at Jaguars

OF NOTE: This appears to be a fairly easy game for the Redskins. The Jaguars have struggled to protect quarterback Mark Brunell (league-high 32 sacks allowed), and Washington has shown it can pressure the quarterback (22 sacks). Jacksonville let Eddie George run for 165 yards last week, and now it faces Stephen Davis. Washington has won four in a row; Jacksonville has lost four in a row. A gut instinct could lead you to believe the Jags can stop the skid, but I think that feeling would be just hunger.

KEY INJURIES: Redskins -- CB Darrell Green (calf), WR Irving Fryar (neck) are out. G Keith Sims (Achilles') is doubtful. Jaguars -- T Leon Searcy (knee), S Rayna Stewart (knee) are out. CB Fernando Bryant (hamstring), LB Hardy Nickerson (hamstring) are questionable. WR Jimmy Smith (knee) is probable.

HOOPER'S PICK: Redskins 20, Jaguars 14

Patriots at Colts

OF NOTE: The son of New England quarterback Drew Bledsoe told Dad he is getting knocked down too often. Bledsoe, sacked 30 times, agrees. The Patriots knocked off Indianapolis 24-16 two weeks ago, forcing Colts quarterback Peyton Manning into three fourth-quarter interceptions. But the outcome should be different in the RCA Dome. Manning surely is eager to solve the problems he has had against Bill Belichick defenses, and Edgerrin James appears to be back on pace after rushing for 219 yards last week against Seattle. The Colts are 11-1 when James breaks 100 yards. KEY INJURIES: Patriots -- NT Chad Eaton (knee) is doubtful. Colts -- WR Chad Plummer (foot), CB Tyrone Poole (finger), DE Bernard Whittington (groin) are questionable. WR Marvin Harrison (ankle) is probable.

HOOPER'S PICK: Colts 21, Patriots 14

Bills at Vikings

KEY INJURIES: Bills -- QB Rob Johnson (shoulder) is out. LB Corey Moore (ankle), DE Shawn Price (knee), TE Jay Riemersma (knee) are questionable. Vikings -- DE Bryce Paup (knee) is out. G David Dixon (hand) is probable

HOOPER'S PICK: Vikings 24, Bills 17

Cardinals at Cowboys

KEY INJURIES: Cardinals -- DE Andre Wadsworth (knee) is out. LB Rob Fredrickson (shoulder) is doubtful. G Lester Holmes (groin) is questionable. Cowboys -- DE Ebenezer Ekuban (toe) is doubtful. LB Dat Nguyen (neck) is questionable

HOOPER'S PICK: Cowboys 24, Cardinals 17

Bears at Eagles

KEY INJURIES: Bears -- P Brent Bartholomew (knee) is out. DT Brad Culpepper (shoulder), G Chris Villarrial (groin) are doubtful. RB Curtis Enis (shoulder) is questionable. Eagles -- DE Mike Mamula (quadriceps), DT Corey Simon (shoulder) are probable

HOOPER'S PICK: Eagles 17, Bears 13

Broncos at Bengals

KEY INJURIES: Broncos -- G Mark Schlereth (knee) is out. RB Terrell Davis (ankle) is doubtful. WR Robert Brooks (hamstring), RB Howard Griffith (knee) are questionable. Bengals -- LB Brian Simmons (knee), C Rich Braham (knee) are out

HOOPER'S PICK: Broncos 44, Bengals 6

Saints at Falcons

KEY INJURIES: Saints -- LB Donta Jones (knee) is doubtful. Falcons -- LB Keith Brooking (foot), LB Henri Crockett (ankle), LB Jeff Kelly (knee) are doubtful. DT Travis Hall (abdomen), DT Ed Jasper (ankle), WR Shawn Jefferson (back) are questionable

HOOPER'S PICK: Saints 24, Falcons 7

Rams at Chiefs

KEY INJURIES: Rams -- K Jeff Wilkins (quadriceps) is out. DT D'Marco Farr (knee), DT Gaylon Hyder (knee), T Ryan Tucker (ankle) are questionable. Chiefs -- DE Duane Clemons (hip), RB Donnell Bennett (foot), CB Eric Warfield (back), DT Chester McGlockton (shoulder) are questionable

HOOPER'S PICK: Rams 37, Chiefs 28

49ers at Panthers

KEY INJURIES: 49ers -- LB Julian Peterson (knee) is out. LB Winfred Tubbs (hamstring) is doubtful. DT Reggie McGrew (ankle), DT Bryant Young (ribs) are questionable. Panthers -- S Rashard Anderson (knee), DE Chuck Smith (knee) are out. DE Jason Peter (neck), TE Wesley Walls (ribs) are questionable

HOOPER'S PICK: 49ers 35, Panthers 31Titans at Ravens

OF NOTE: This is one of the most intriguing matches of the day. Both teams pride themselves on tough defense, which means Titans running back Eddie George and Ravens running back Jamal Lewis will run into difficulties. Can either team get plays out of the passing game? Titans quarterback Steve McNair is completing 72 percent of his passes on third down. Ravens quarterback Tony Banks has struggled so badly, some fans are calling for Trent Dilfer. Advantage Tennessee.

KEY INJURIES: Titans -- DT Jason Fisk (ankle), DT Henry Ford (hamstring), WR Derrick Mason (ankle), G Bruce Matthews (knee), WR Carl Pickens (hamstring), CB Samari Rolle (ankle) are questionable. Ravens -- DT Sam Adams (groin), C Jeff Mitchell (ankle) are questionable. T Jonathan Ogden (ankle) is probable.

HOOPER'S PICK: Titans 17, Ravens 16

Seahawks at Raiders

KEY INJURIES: Seahawks -- Huard (groin) is questionable. TE Christian Fauria (groin) is probable. Raiders -- S Marquez Pope (groin) is doubtful. S Johnnie Harris (ankle) is questionable. LB Elijah Alexander (back) is probable

HOOPER'S PICK: Raiders 24, Seahawks 14

Browns at Steelers

KEY INJURIES: Browns -- WR David Patten (toe), Couch (thumb) are out. LB Rahim Abdullah (groin), WR Darrin Chiaverini (knee), DB Corey Fuller (shoulder) are doubtful. Steelers -- Witman (leg) is out. T Shar Pourdanesh (knee) is doubtful

HOOPER'S PICK: Steelers 27, Browns 20
