He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Central Florida Community College in 1992, as well as AA degrees in aviation technology and instructional design from the Community College of the Air Force. He is continuing his education to obtain a degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. He lives in Crystal River.

Professional Hearing Centers in Inverness recently announced that owner Denny Dingler attended the 49th annual convention of the International Hearing Society (IHS) in Anaheim. Dingler chairs the International Licensing Exam Committee, which is charged with developing and maintaining IHS's licensing exam, currently used in 25 states. He also serves on the International Institute of Hearing Instrument Studies.

Leadership Citrus, a community leadership training program, is accepting applications for the Class of 2001. The selection committee is looking for Citrus County residents who have shown a commitment to being involved in community affairs and are willing to devote the time necessary to complete the program. The program will be conducted from Jan. 4, through June 28, 2001, with meetings held twice a month. Tuition for the program is $695 per person, which includes seminar materials, field trips, refreshments and meals. For information, call Pat Eldridge at 726-6899 by Nov. 17.

Central Florida Community College, in partnership with the University of North Florida Small Business Development Center, is presenting small business development seminars on Nov. 6, 13 and 20 at the Ocala, Citrus County and Levy County campuses, via interactive television. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Florida will meet on Nov. 9 and Dec. 13 through the remainder of this year in the Cypress Room in the administration building of Citrus Memorial Hospital. The purpose of the foundation is to grant wishes to children ages 21/2 to 18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For information, call 621-5437.
