Times digestBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published October 23, 2000 Absentee ballots available at election offices, over phoneINVERNESS -- Absentee ballots for the Nov. 7 general election and the City Council election in Crystal River are available. The ballots can be obtained at the supervisor of elections office, 120 N Apopka Ave., Inverness; Crystal River City Hall or by calling 341-6740 and requesting one by mail. The elections office in Inverness is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Crystal River site is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both sites are open weekdays. Voters not able to get to the offices and pick up a ballot during the week may vote by absentee from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Inverness or Crystal River offices. Stamp association show set for Sunday at Hernando VFWHERNANDO -- The Citrus Area Stamp Association holds a stamp show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the VFW Post 4252 on State Road 200, Hernando. Show will include stamps and covers for sale and appraisal. Hourly door prizes and free stamps for children. Free admission. Call (727) 848-7697.
