Britt Laughlin of St. Petersburg says he has lost 40 pounds in two years on a high-protein diet. Here's a typical menu.

Breakfast

  • Western omelet with three eggs, ham, cheese, onion, red pepper and tomato
  • Coffee

Lunch

  • One-half chicken, roasted
  • Green salad with vinegar and oil dressing
  • 1 to 2 cups broccoli, steamed or boiled
  • Water

Dinner

  • 12-ounce steak
  • 1 cup green beans
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • Iced tea

Snack

  • Grapes
