SUPER SHOPPING: South Pinellas County's first Wal-Mart supercenter opened Wednesday at 8900 U.S. 19, Pinellas Park. In addition to traditional merchandise, it offers prepared foods, a hairdresser, florist, portrait studio, pharmacy, vision center, Teachers Credit Union and McDonald's.

NEW OPENINGS: Burlington Coat Factory opened three new stores this month, at University Square Mall, Tampa; Cortez Plaza, Bradenton; and 3941 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota. All offer clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children; all have Baby Depot and Luxury Linens departments.

CLASSIC LARGER SIZES: Talbots, a retailer of classic women's clothing, introduced Talbots Woman Petites this month, styles tailored to fit the proportions of full-figured petite women in sizes 12WP to 24WP. The apparel is available in Talbots Woman, International Plaza; and at www.talbots.com
