SUNCOAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: The school will have its first Oktoberfest from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Activities will include a sampling of traditional German foods such as soft pretzels, Black Forest cake and root beer, plus a historic presentation by the Springstead High School German club.

READING SESSION: Parents of second- and third-graders are invited to attend a "round robin" reading session by students from 7 to 8 tonight in the cafeteria. Refreshments will be served.

CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: The school's Health Occupations Students of America club will sponsor a car wash from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Proceeds will benefit the club's trip to state competition in Orlando.

GREENERY FOR GREENBACKS: The Band Boosters are taking orders for fresh-cut holiday greenery, including wreaths, swags and garland, to be delivered in November. Advance orders will be taken through Friday. To place an order, contact Ann May at 597-5377.

PINE GROVE ELEMENTARY: The school's advisory council will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 in the media center.

SPRING HILL ELEMENTARY: The PTA will host its annual Monster Bash from 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday. Activities will include a costume contest, haunted hallways, games and refreshments. The public is invited. Admission is $1, with proceeds benefiting the PTA.

DELTONA ELEMENTARY: Students will be taking part in a Turkey Trot the morning of Nov. 3. For the event, pupils will collect canned goods and other non-perishable food items for needy families.

PARROTT MIDDLE SCHOOL: Parents are invited to join their children at the school's Math FCAT Fair the week of Nov. 13-20 in the media center. The fair, which will be held during regular school hours, will focus on practice activities for FCAT tests later in the school year. For more information, contact Charlene Black at 797-7075.
