Homecoming festivities

Hernando High School will kick of its homecoming activities next week with special student activities and events.

Starting Monday, students are invited to participate in a series of dress-up days, including Clash Day (Monday), College Team Day (Tuesday), Class Color Day (Wednesday), Theme Day (Nov. 2) and Purple and Gold Day (Nov. 3).

The school's annual Powder Puff football game will take place Wednesday at 1 p.m.

On Nov. 2, the Student Government Association will host its Homecoming Growl at 7:30 p.m. in the stadium, followed by a fireworks show.

Events on Nov. 3 include the Homecoming Parade at 1 p.m. down Howell Avenue, followed by the football game at 7:30 p.m., when the Leopards take on Citrus High School. Later, students are invited to a semi-formal homecoming dance in the gymnasium from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
