TAMPA -- South Florida forwards Altron Jackson and B.B. Waldon have been named by the league's coaches to the preseason All-Conference USA team.

Jackson and Waldon were joined on the squad by preseason player of the year Steve Logan of Cincinnati, Kelly Wise of Memphis and Jobey Thomas of Charlotte. All are seniors. Logan was the conference player of the year last season.

The coaches picked Memphis, 21-15 last season, to win the conference title. The Tigers are bolstered by the addition of high school All-American Dajuan Wagner.

USF, coming off an 18-13 season, is picked to finish second behind Memphis in C-USA's National Division, followed by UAB, Southern Miss, TCU, Houston and Tulane.

Cincinnati is picked to finish atop the American Division, followed by Charlotte, Marquette, Louisville, Saint Louis, DePaul and East Carolina.

Waldon, with 1,455 points, and Jackson, with 1,401 points, and rank Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, on the C-USA all-time list. Jackson was a first-team all-conference selection last season.

DUPAY ON TOUR: Former Florida guard Teddy Dupay will continue his career with the Nike Tour, a group of traveling teams that compete against college teams during the preseason.

"He's going to travel around and play at different colleges," Florida coach Billy Donovan said.

"I don't know what tour he'll be on, whether it's the SEC tour, Big East tour, West Coast tour, but he's going to play and it will start next week or so and will run through toward the end of November.

Dupay, who is in Gainesville working out this week, was dismissed from the team last month based on the results of a University Police Department investigation into gambling.

ARIZONA: Guard Travis Hanour left the program. Hanour, a 6-foot-6, 188-pound sophomore from Laguna Beach, Calif., gave personal reasons for quitting.

Women

USF: Coach Jose Fernandez said Allison AuBuchon, a freshman power forward from Stillwater, Minn., is suspended indefinitely for a violation of the team's academic policies.

"Allison needs to take some time away from basketball to put her academic affairs in order," Fernandez said. "We look forward to her eventual return to the team."

BIG EAST: Defending national champion Notre Dame was picked to finish behind perennial power Connecticut in the preseason poll of conference coaches. Rutgers was picked to finish third.

UConn's Sue Bird is the preseason Big East player of the year.
