© St. Petersburg Times, Man charged with lewd actsTAMPA -- A 22-year-old Tampa man and his mother have been arrested after Tampa detectives serving a search warrant at his home discovered the man having sex with a 15-year-old boy, police said. On Wednesday, FBI agents and Tampa police detectives entered the home of Ronald Beavers Jr. at 3117 N Adams St. Inside, detectives found Beavers with the boy, police said. Beavers was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 16, use of a child in a sexual performance and possession of child pornography. His mother, Deborah Beavers, 44, a Hillsborough County school bus driver, was charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police said she lives with her son and knew about his conduct. She also knew the 15-year-old should have been in school, police said. A Hillsborough school district spokesman said Beavers has worked at the district since 1992. She was suspended Wednesday pending a review by the district. There was no evidence the 15-year-old was on her bus route, the spokesman said. Police asked anyone with information to call Detective John Yaratch at 276-3536. Inmate freed by mistakeTAMPA -- An inmate at the Falkenburg Road Jail was mistakenly released last month, and deputies are searching for him. Vidal Quijada, 22, of 1502 Ranchero Lane, Plant City, was booked into the jail Aug. 27 on a felony charge of violating a domestic violence injunction. On Sept. 21, the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, and an official mistakenly entered a lower bail amount than should have been entered, allowing Quijada to post bail and get out of jail Sept. 24. The Sheriff's Office discovered they head mistakenly released Quijada on Oct. 23, when a court clerk official reviewed his case. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Quijada was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-8477. Suspect sought in sexual assaultTAMPA -- Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the parking lot of the Tampa Bay Mall on the morning of Oct. 11. The man, armed with a knife, approached the woman as she climbed into her van in a nearby parking lot about 10:30 a.m. The woman is in her 50s, Tampa police said. He forced her into the van and ordered her to drive to the parking lot. Once at the mall, he raped the woman in the van and fled on foot, police said. The man is described as Hispanic, between 18 and 25 years old, and about 6 feet tall. He had a thin build, dark complexion, thin moustache and a short haircut. A police sketch showed that he may have had a mohawk-style haircut. He was last seen wearing long plaid shorts and tennis shoes. Anyone with information was asked to call 276-3540 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-8477. 12-year-old charged with fondling girlST. PETERSBURG -- A 12-year-old male student at Bay Point Middle School faces criminal charges after police say he fondled a 12-year-old girl against her will Thursday afternoon. A teacher saw the boy "inappropriately touching" the girl's breasts outside the school's gymnasium about 2:30 p.m., according to a police report. The boy was suspended from school. Police charged him with lewd and lascivious molestation. This was the second such incident in three days at the school at 2151 62nd Ave. S. On Tuesday, police said, three 13- to 14-year-old boys pulled a 12-year-old girl away from a drinking fountain and into a locker room, where they fondled her.
