Ask Jim Leavitt

Q : Where do you see the most improvement in this season's team?

LEAVITT: Other than the Southern Miss game, I think special teams have been pretty decent. Marquel (Blackwell, quarterback) has gotten better. Scott McCready (receiver) has really taken a step to be a real leader and a top player.

Defensively, we've been probably more consistent than we have overall. The offensive line is better even though we've had some injuries. You've got to remember we're playing a little bit better schedule than we have in the past, so you've really got to look at that. Bill Gramatica is kicking well. Kenyatta (Jones, tackle) has been more steady. (Center) Joey Sipp, when he's healthy, has been playing really good. ... (Running back) Rafael Williams has had a lot better year than he's had. Having Jason Butler in this year has been really good. The play of (defensive back) Anthony Henry, he's having the best year he's had, no question.
